Bowman Gray Discussion Panel

April 23 @ 12:00 pm 2:00 pm EDT

As NASCAR’s longest-running weekly race track, Winston-Salem’s Bowman Gray Stadium (a.k.a. the “Madhouse”) is one of stock car racing’s most legendary venues. Since 1949, the sounds of roaring engines and cheering fans have been heard each and every Saturday night throughout the spring and summer months. Bowman Gray Stadium is kicking off their 2022 season THIS WEEKEND, and we’re ready to celebrate!

On Saturday, April 23rd we’re hosting a panel discussion and autograph session from 12PM to 2PM with some of Bowman Gray Stadium’s most iconic racers!

Meet Our Panelists
  • Gary Myers ranks seventh on Bowman Gray Stadiums all-time victory list with a total of 38 wins as a modified driver.
  • Max Berrier is a three-time modified champion at Bowman Gray Stadium and won a Grand National East Series race under Junie Donlavey at the track in 1972.
  • Donald “Satch” Worley competed at Bowman Gray Stadium in the 1980s, where he was a two-time track modified champion.
  • Wayne “Speedy” Thomas is Worley’s long-time car owner.

We’ll also have EH Weddle’s 1939 Modified Ford Coupe on display inside the museum!
